"Well, here's my daughter's story...
| Her name is Crystal Catherine Guthrie. She was born on September 3, 1998. She was 4 weeks early. She had low body temperature (95.7 degrees), her
right lung collapsed, and she had a dark port wine stain no the entire right side of her face and head. They said she wouldn't live past the 3rd night. We lucked out and she's still here. She has minor seizures - they're called absence seizures. She also has restrictive airway disease. She is partially deaf. We have to have MRI's done once a year, CAT scans twice a year, appointments with the eye doctor four times a year, and hearing appointments four times a year. She also gets speech therapy weekly. Luckily, she has very few problems caused by the disease. She's happy and extremely smart. |
